Adelaide’s Vickers Vimy formed the perfect backdrop for the launch of the Royal Australian Mint’s stunning eight-coin collection celebrating The Great Air Race from England to Australia. Each $1 uncirculated coin features a sculpted plane and the names of all crew members, celebrating the six Australian teams who took part in the 1919 Air Race, plus the two-man French crew led by Etienne Poulet. They’re even presented in a Vimy-inspired tin!
